One grey afternoon by the Vancouver seawall, I cycled passed a cluster of lily pads drifting in a pond in perfect formation. In my mind I saw them in a dark yet warm pool of midnight among the stars. Fireflies coming to rest among the lily pads. Painting my vision felt like bottling a calm summers night in my own personal corner of the world. This painting is an original work.
